NO, Windows is the operating system and every application running on your PC will use the windows default printer settings. In some applications you can set certain print settings during design time.

No the printer driver for the printer will remain unique while u r using different applications.
But u can make certain changes before u Print any thing from an application,this is like changing the setting in the original printer driver it self.

easy if there is a setupfile for that printer driver then just copy to memery stick. paste to your computer.
But do this instead go online and download the driver from HP website.

You could try the driver for vista and run programs in compatibility mode.
Click the shortcuts button and in the search box put in “compatibility” and search.
In the box that opens you’ll see where to look for programs to run in older windows operating systemshttp://driver-pro.com/related/english/ha…
You could also try the above link which is for a driver update tool(I’m not a big fan of using stuff like this though).

One of the features of windows 7 is that you can use drivers all the way back to win 98 for comparability or the problem your having with your print drivers.
Most programs will work, if they do encounter a problem then just run the .exe of the program in compatibility mode.
Right-Click -> Properties -> Compatibility (Tab) -> Check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility for:” -> Windows XP etc
